Approach for deriving conjugates of gold nanoparticles with Staphylococcus aureus protein A recombinant fragment for immunochromatograpical test-systems was optimized. Influence of main components in reaction solution on particle size of gold and its conjugates with protein A fragment, their homogeneity, stability and immunoglobulin-recognition ability was investigated.

Methods for rapid size determination of gold nanoparticles based on their optical characteristics were proposed. Recommendations for deriving staphylococcal protein A fragment-gold nanoparticle conjugates that could be successfully used in fast immunochromatograpical test-systems were given.

Key words: gold nanoparticles, protein А, Staphylococcus aureus, immunoglobulin recognition ability, immunochromatograpical test-systems, electron microscopy, laser correlation spectroscopy, spectrophotometry, RGB spectrum.
